1. What’s the story behind your project name?

The name of our project came from the fact that the community of existing projects seems to be obsessed with birds. To stick to that theme, we wanted a bird that carries the Neo color and exists in the UK — where our team is based. It really doesn’t go deeper than that, and spoiler alert, we are not fixated on the name and it may change.

2. What’s your favorite movie, and how does that influence you as a human being?

Choosing a favorite movie is very hard. I’d probably have to say Withnail and I — which I realize is a curveball, extremely English, and something of a cult movie here. If you haven’t seen it, please watch it. It’s a movie that each time you watch it, you gain something more and will laugh more and more.

Having said that, I think Django Unchained is up there as one of my go-to favorites. I won’t go into detail, but Christoph Waltz steals the show here for me.

3. What drives you to the crypto world, and if you could travel back in time, what’s the one thing you would do?

Mesh networks are what the internet is meant to be about. But without incentivization, they are really just theoretical. Blockchain and crypto add the incentivization.

4. If you have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Extreme luck

5. What’s your ultimate goal to achieve?

To be remembered in about 300 or 400 years’ time.

6. What’s the most amazing technology ever invented in human history?

Important? I think that has to be agriculture (barring any conversation about responsibility etc.)

Amazing? For me, that’s the internet. Today it is still really in its infancy. What the internet (or whatever it’s called then) will be like in 200 years will be incredible.

Latchbox

1. What’s the story behind your project name?

I have this favorite song named ‘Latch’ by Disclosure, and I played it (in loop) during the development of the platform. Then I realized that the platform doesn’t have a name yet. I searched for the meaning of it, which is to fasten. Since the platform is all about locking and vesting of the token, it’s like you’re putting your token in a vault, except instead of using vault, I used box instead. That’s how the name LatchBox was made.

2. What’s your favorite movie, and how does that influence you as a human being?

Into The Wild. The actor leaves his profitable career as an athlete behind, chooses to give his possessions to charity, and embarks on a journey to the Alaskan wilderness. It influences my life in the spirit of, ‘When you want something in life, you just gotta reach out and grab it.”

3. What drives you to the crypto world, and if you could travel back in time, what’s the one thing you would do?

For me, the technology and the idea of decentralization drive me to the crypto world.

If given a chance to travel back in time, maybe I’d be a full-time blockchain developer now or create a blockchain like Neo :)

4. If you could have one superpower, what would it be, and why?

Mind reading is the power to sense the thoughts of others. For me, I don’t want to waste my time knowing some people that only bring bad intentions to my life in the end.

5. What’s your ultimate goal to achieve?

For now, to have a blockchain platform that will be useful to the cryptocurrency community.

6. What’s the most amazing technology ever invented in human history?

For me, it is blockchain. And also, being able to see the real image of a black hole.

Pumpkin Swap

1. What’s the story behind your project name?

Well, the plan was to name it Cookie Swap, which I used when I entered the Planathon. But I realized later that the domain was taken, so I had to figure out a new name for it. I finally got an idea from a friend’s birthday party: He had gotten a special birthday cake made in the shape of a pumpkin. Not only did it look great, but it tasted amazing. I guess that was a natural move for me to name the project Pumpkin Swap, as it will be sweet like the cake and easy to use for any user.

2. What’s your favorite movie, and how does that influence you as a human being?

My favorite movie is an older movie called “The Butterfly Effect” with Ashton Kutcher as the lead actor. I have watched that movie a couple of times now. The main reason behind why this is my favorite movie was the name alone, as “Butterfly Effect” describes a property of chaotic systems (such as the atmosphere, for example) by which small changes in initial conditions can lead to large-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system. I was amazed how the smallest thing can have a great impact on future events. I was fascinated by that effect alone, and I started to implement that thinking in all my ideas and thoughts. I’m always trying to think about what my actions will do in the future, so I tend to always be careful with anything I do. My way of thinking has also changed because of this.

3. What drives you to the crypto world, and if you could travel back in time, what’s the one thing you would do?

My drive to the crypto world is because of the freedom that comes with it. Everything is in your hands, and there is no third party taking a piece of the cake. Viva la revolution! And if I could go back in time, it would be to see a dear friend of mine who passed away because of cancer. He was like my twin brother growing up. We did everything together. I would just want to speak to him one last time and tell him everything I have seen and done.

4. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would love to be able to understand animals. I currently have a cat, and I always wonder what she is thinking and saying. She loves to yell sometimes, but I can never understand her.

5. What’s your ultimate goal to achieve?

In terms of life, I believe I already have achieved my goal. I am surrounded by amazing people who I can call friends, I go to bed and wake up next to an amazing wife, and I am basically surrounded by family everywhere I look. That means the world to me! And in terms of the project, I wish to have Pumpkin Swap in such a state that even my mother, who can barely use a computer would know what’s going on and how to use it!

6. What’s the most amazing technology ever invented in human history?

This one is simple. I would most definitely say it is electricity. It’s so easy to take it for granted, and without it, it would be so hard to do anything we do today.

Student Data System

1. What’s the story behind your project name?

This system aims to store key data of students permanently and ensure their authenticity through the Neo ecosystem.

2. What’s your favorite movie, and how does that influence you as a human being?

SpongeBob Squarepants. No matter what difficulties you encounter, you have an optimistic attitude to face them. When you face them with a positive attitude, many bad things will turn into good things.

3. What drives you to the crypto world, and if you could travel back in time, what’s the one thing you would do?

Everything is equal in this world. If I could travel back in time, I would have full faith in the blockchain.

4. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I could copy anyone’s knowledge just like copying files.

5. What’s your ultimate goal to achieve?

I want to work through the Internet of Things, such as refrigerators, TV, washing machines, and mobile phones to enable connected devices to achieve self-sufficiency. They would be able to obtain GAS returns through the Neo network, find out whether the parts of the machine need to be replaced, search for cost-effective parts, and place orders. And the after-sales personnel would be able to carry out door-to-door maintenance according to the orders.

6. What’s the most amazing technology ever invented in human history?

Ten-thousand-foot tall buildings rising from the ground.
