Neo teams with COZ and Degenz.wtf to support Shadow Brother Sunday, Alden Ehrenreich’s directorial debut premiering at Tribeca Film Festival
Neo, the open-source, community-driven blockchain platform designed to welcome developers into the Smart Economy and realize the optimized digital world of the future, has teamed up with COZ, the Neo ecosystem’s largest community, and Degenz.wft, a cutting-edge advisory firm, to unveil and auction a new collection of NFTs tied to physical, original film frames from Shadow Brother Sunday, Alden Ehrenreich’s hotly-anticipated directorial debut short film premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 9. The auction will leverage COZ’s NFI (non-fungible item), OneBand, as another innovative use case that explores the convergence of physical and digital assets, following this technology’s introduction at Consensus 2023.
Charitable auction
The auction will take place at the film’s June 9 after-screening party hosted by COZ in collaboration with Degenz.wtf. All auction proceeds will go to Red Eye, a non-profit dedicated to fostering a brighter future for children through art by providing a 24/7 community for culture creators, influencers, and leaders to empower their lives and develop their talents.
Unlike the process at traditional auctions, bidding at the film’s after-screening party will take place through the OneBand ring, COZ’s revolutionary non-fungible item, powered by the Neo blockchain. This technology bridges the digital and physical worlds with a physical ring that is cryptographically bound to an NFT that attests ownership and interacts with other applications. OneBand, which premiered at Consensus 2023 last month, is already expanding to support new use cases. OneBand represents a massive advancement in Neo’s vision of driving digital asset use in the Smart Economy.
